Great online training resources. Depends on your team and what job youre in as to how much training you require.

The company has put lots of effort into helping us with the necessary character and personal development that will set us up well for the future. Have learnt lots around how to present ourselves in a professional setting. Lots of work has been done to become comfortable with presenting work and talking to large audiences. We have gained awareness on how to best handle certain social settings or uncomfortable situations in the work place. While also having the more formal on the job training to develop the required understanding about the business and certain procedures that are important when working in the food industry.

My whole year has essentially been training - the Masters provides good theory in all aspects of Fonterra and the placements allow you to combine that with hands on experience

I am extremely satisfied with the informal training, but the formal training in terms of getting up to scratch with roles and responsibilities is pretty lackluster. Had a discussion with my first rotation manager about this, who was a trainer prior, and he mentioned that there was a big focus on training but that has disappeared in recent times. Informally, that is replaced but when I think of the company, I think of training similar to that of Optiver Academy where they have a comprehensive program that covers a huge range of aspects of the business and getting you up to scratch on the full breadth and depth of specific products and your role.

There haven't been many formal training sessions however this job gives me the opportunity to trial and error and ask questions and during the initial stages of my rotation my manager would set aside a lot of time to ensure I was getting on well.
Graduate, Christchurch - 08 Feb 2023
I've done a lot of on-the-job learning - not a ton of uni theory has been applicable. Partaking in e.g., LinkedIn learnings has been encouraged and the grad programme has organised some professional development courses.
Graduate, Auckland - 08 Feb 2023
The informal training was from people who are in a similar occupation as me. They gave very technical advice. However, they were not asked to give me training, they did it out of their own free will.

I don't know of any programmes. My manager helps me with it herself
