This role is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to be part of the team, working together to get large volumes of products to our customers!

We are looking for team players who are enthusiastic, reliable, happy to get “stuck in”, and see a job through from start to finish. This is a fixed term position based in our Wiri Distribution Centre, where you will work along side our dedicated teams who not only work with high volumes but bring the energy every day!

This role requires someone with a good degree of accuracy and ability to problem solve to keep up with our fast-paced environment. This busy role will offer you a variety of tasks, including:

  • Loading belts
  • Ability to sort via RF sorting
  • Distributing stock to meet business / customer needs
  • Assisting with closing / labeling and distributing stock
  • Operate pallet jack/knife/strap machines
  • Bulk picking and managing stock
  • Being able to adapt when needed.

This is a fixed term position until the end of January 2024

Pay rate - $27.39 per hour

These roles are Monday - Friday with a range of shift times including:

  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

  • Has a good level of problem solving and time management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Distribution/Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential

Our peak period is here, and we are pumped!! This is a great opportunity to work as part of an awesome team in one of NZ's largest distribution sites (We really aren’t kidding – Our DC is the size of 21 football fields!)

The coolest thing about my job is the autonomy I have. Even as an intern I have control over my daily schedule. I can choose if I’m working at the office or from home. I can choose what tasks I prioritise and control the flow of my work.

It was very eye opening to see what goes on behind the scenes to get product to customers, especially on the scale that The Warehouse Group operates at!
