I greatly enjoy the physical nature of my role. After spending a significant amount of time working almost entirely from behind a desk, I started to miss the exercise and even the feeling of making physical progress that comes with working on-site.
Every week, a service line within the office presents a brief presentation on the kind of work they do and how they function. It provides helpful insight on potential career pathways and a broader view of how the firm operates, the free lunch is also bonus!
Working in collaboration with a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds has helped me gain a better understanding of where I can see my career going.
Throughout the year, we have regular ad-hoc tax advisory work, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), tax due diligence, ad-hoc requests and queries from clients, structuring, distributions to shareholders, etc.
The Programme was filled to the brim with courses, events and other opportunities for learning. Knowing that I had backing and help from my supervisors and team members meant that I felt more confident to push myself and try new tasks.
